Defense Kinetics brings it together under one roof. Kickboxing  delivers the benefits of cardio and core conditioning.  Classic boxing adds power, faster reflexes and improved coordination to your  overall fitness profile. The practical, street smart self-protection techniques of our Kuaishou (ka-why-show) system better prepares you for real-world violent encounters, while the tradition, discipline  and the physical challenge of grappling and ground fighting  are discovered in our old-school Judo & Jiu jitsu classes. Level One Self-Protection

(Women Only & Mixed Classes)

Our Level One personal defense course teaches practical and effective techniques for countering hostile-aggressive individuals or a sudden, violent attack. Students learn to develop the proper mindset; along with default attack, blocking and countering techniques.

Advanced Self-Protection

(Mixed Classes)

Levels Two & Three Kuaishou self-protection classes teach advanced techniques for delivering pain for aggressor compliance and control, debilitating strikes and chokes, the use of batons and knives for self-defense, weapons disarming, multiple attackers and more.

Cardio Kickboxing 

Our cardio kickboxing classes are  a great way to stay fit. You're always in motion. Practice techniques you'll learn in self-protection and boxing classes to improve the speed, power and accuracy of your kicks, punches, elbows and knees. Burn calories and tone your muscles to high energy music and expert instruction. 

Classic Boxing

New students learn footwork drills, shadow boxing and punching combinations, with a slower paced class ideal  for beginners.  More up-tempo classes are designed for members ready to take it up a notch.  All classes will strengthen up the core and are excellent for overall conditioning. 

Judo and Jiu jitsu

For those who enjoy the tradition, discipline and variety of eastern martial arts, our judo and jiu jitsu classes teach hip throws, ground fighting, joint manipulation, reverse chokeholds, and guard position attack and defend skills. Our instructors include two 10th dan (degree) black belt experts who share their passion for the traditional combat arts.

Advanced Boxing & Sparring

We offer sparring classes for members who are ready to take their boxing skills to the next level. (Evaluation by a trainer is required)  Supervised and coached sparring is a great way to test your skills with other members and improve your technique.

Student Life Self-Protection

8-Week Bootcamp for Teens

Our teen bootcamp focuses on de-escalation skills and self-protection techniques for threats and circumstances most likely to be faced by students. Twice-weekly, mixed classes teach default attack, defend and countering moves along with developing  a practical awareness mindset. The goal: to avoid unnecessary confrontation and, if unavoidable, to quickly and intelligently respond to a threat.  Students learn tactics for countering bullying, sexual aggression, a school shooter, hostile and aggressive individuals or persons under the influence, as well as how to safely navigate house parties, live concerts and sporting events should trouble arrive. (Discounted for members and family of members).

Private Training

If you're looking for private or semi-private training, our instructors are here to help. We offer one hour sessions in boxing, Kuaishou self-protection, advanced Kuaishou self-protection training, judo and jiu jitsu. The cost of private training is additional to regular monthly membership fees (membership required for private training). Availability of the instructors is subject to change. Please contact us for  instructor times and dates.

KUAISHOU

(ka-why-show)

Kuaishou (from the Cantonese word meaning "fast hands") is the fighting style developed and taught by Defense Kinetics in our self-protection classes. Where proper mindset is the inside sphere of our Inside Out Self-Protection system, Kuiahou is the outside — or external component — the physical attacking, defending and countering techniques used to protect yourself.  The fighting style is, in fact, a hybrid of both new and centuries-old fighting arts, including boxing, Wing Chun, Muay Thai, Jiu-jitsu and custom techniques unique  to Kuaishou fighting.
